We represent the Municipality of Lastovo that is searching for the partners in its effort to preserve and invigorate the old historical centers of the MED area.
Many MED regions have a significant cultural heritage and territorial resources that could be utilized for specific sectors inside of the and frequently local communities are not aware of the potential of their cultural heritage and this has led to migratory phenomena and a loss in Mediterranean identity. This should require a holistic view which connects planning and management, addressing shortcomings and constraints and utilizing local heritage and local strengths.

The current idea for proposed project is to develop and experiment on a common strategy to govern and implement the initiative for the regeneration of MED area neglected and small towns with the significant legacy which could represent the potential cultural hub.
The main focus is the renovation of the buildings of historical and cultural significance so they can be used as a facilities that would represent the towns heritage (museums, galleries for example). The restored buildings would consume energy based on the renewability and responsible utilization of it by utilizing alternative energy sources, as well as recyclability of the materials used for renovation of historic center, both of which should protect the cultural and natural landscape of the area. The walking trails trough old streets and square would be arranged to present and inform about the towns history, culture and folklore in a innovative and artistic manner. The aforementioned efforts would usher new life in the long abandoned centers, lead to the reduced seasonality and offer diversification and enhancement of the touristic and cultural facilities.

The initiatives like festival promotion, thematic events, health tourism, exhibitions, as well as carbon emission reduction, creating the creative and innovative modes of informing and education, renewable energy sources and recycling inside of the center would serve as an ideal examples to be encouraged.
We are interested in being partners for the projects that have a further axis:

We warmly welcome any suitable partnership offers, advice and suggestions.

The project development firm Heritage Go Pro will act under us as our representative so we leave their contact e-mail:

    – Installation of solar heating systems on public buildings and sports structures.
    – Sustainable mobility: Electric Mobility Network.
    – Development of a software platform to monitor actions.
    – Implementation of an Energy Management System.

It has been estimated that after the proposed operations have been implemented, there would be a total energy saving of 2.959.492 MWh. The overall reduction of greenhouse gasses is estimated to be 286,382 tons of CO2.

    Hallo,
municipality of Vibo Valentia is very interesting to participate as partner of your proposal.
The valorisation of heritage and historical sites of the town are priorities and goals of the city administration.
Vibo Valentia is a city and comune (municipality) in the Calabria region of southern Italy, on the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the capital of the province of Vibo Valentia, and is an agricultural, commercial and tourist center (the most famous places nearby are Tropea, Ricadi and Pizzo).
    Main sights
    – Norman-Hoehenstaufen Castle, located most likely on the site of Hipponion acropolis, and built around 1000. For its construction materials from the Greek temples nearby were used. It was damaged by an earthquake in 1783. Today the castle is home to archaelogical museum.
    – Walls of Hipponion, including about 350 metres (1,150 ft) of remains and foundations of eight towers, each with an estimated height of 10 metres (33 ft).
    – Church of Santa Maria Maggiore e San Leoluca (Cathedral), built in the 9th century over the remains of a Byzantine basilica. It has an 18th-century marble high altar with a 16th-century sculpture of “Madonna della Neve”, and a Renaissance triptych.
Church of Santa Ruba (c. 1000), built by Pope Callixtus II. It has a large cupola in Oriental style.
Church of the Rosario (c. 1337), located over a Roman temple. Originally in Gothic style, it was remade after the 1783 earthquake.

    Dear Sirs,

We would like to indicate our interest to study the possibility of becoming a Portuguese partner of your consortium.
Established 1984, the “Departamento do Património Histórico e Artístico da Diocese de Beja” [DPHA] (Department of Historical and Artistic heritage, Diocesis of Beja) is a pioneer ONG, operating with national, regional and local authorities, in safeguarding the religious heritage. In particular, it is in charge of the cultural heritage of the Beja region, in the South of Portugal, between the Atlantic ocean and the Spanish border. The Diocese of Beja keeps over 200.000 inventoried works of art in churches, monasteries, convents and museums and over 500 buildings.
Among the many areas of work of his team, 12 professional and 214 volunteers, are: inventory of religious cultural goods; ensuring equity for communities and social inclusion; creation of a core of technical advice; churches restoration and re-opening; support for cultural itineraries.
The experience of Beja is particularly relevant in inventories, conservation, publications and development of local communities. The DPHA chose to enlarge its range of activities on heritage and biodiversity in order to involve a wider public. In addition, organizes since 2003 the Festival Terras sem Sombra (FTSS), which aims to become accessible the monuments of Alentejo. This is due to a partnership between the DPHA as well the “dynamic forces” of Alentejo.
The FTSS has an itinerant character and focuses its action on the developing of new audiences and the connection to local communities. Its high international level of the programme is composed by, beyond concerts, master classes, conferences, guides tours and some pedagogic artistic actions. The dialog between the past and the contemporary creation, as well as the opening to young composers and interpreters, the order for works, the intersections among the arts, the rescue of the musicological heritage, are, together, structural elements of the project.
This is the background in which the FTSS shows the relevance of the environmental and cultural value of this territory, presenting one of the best index of preservation in Europe. Each concert is accompanied by a volunteering pilot-action in order to save its biodiversity. The principles of inclusion and sustainability are an integral part of the rules of the FTSS. The concerts and other activities provide open access within the constraints imposed by the preservation of the monuments and the place visited as well.
The “Festival Terras sem Sombra” desires to persuade the whole community to join efforts to obtain a well-balanced and sustained development for Southern Europe.
The International Prize “Terras sem Sombra”, created by the Festival in 2011, is awarded annually to three personalities or institutions that stood out, globally, in the areas of music, cultural heritage and biodiversity preservation.

    Dear colleagues,

the Municipality of Imola would be interested to became partner in your consortium and to be involved in your project proposal. Our cultural heritage and territorial resources could be utilized as a tool to overcome the crisis (for example the Rocca Sforzesca designed by Leonardo da Vinci). We are in line with the idea of a common strategy for the regeneration of small towns which could represent cultural hub. In particular is of our interest both the focus on renovation of the buildings of historical and cultural significance( with renewable energy strategy, alternative energy source) to be used as a facilities as museums, galleries, winehouse, restaurant, summerschool, cultural event locations, etc.,and the reduced seasonality approach to enhance touristic and cultural facilities. We already have festival promotion (we obtained european EFFE Festival label 2015 for Imola in musica Festival), thematic events (Baccanale Fair), and besides we host International Piano Academy Summer school and Festival and Emilia-Romagna festival. Thank you for your kind attention and collaboration.
