Agencia de Gestión Agraria y Pesquera de Andalucia

The City Council of Puente Genil (Andalusia, Spain) is looking for a partnership already established or partners willing to create a partnership led by an institution with expertise in the field of energy strategies at local level by the reuse of residues, the project idea that it is working on.

The project idea falls under the MED Programme first call for modular projects and, particularly, under its Specific Objective 2.2: To increase the share of renewable local energy sources in energy mix strategies and plans in specific MED territories.

This City Council is interested in promoting pilot projects that, together with small-scale investments, will enable to use biodigestion technologies to produce alternative energy sources and use the resulting biogas at different levels. Therefore, the project would have two different pilot projects, on the one hand the pilot regarding the production of biogas from urban, meat industries and agriculture residues and, on the other hand, the pilot project concerning the urban, industrial and transport use of the biogas produced. As far as modular projects are concerned, this type of project would be structured as a M2 (testing) or M2+M3 (testing + capitalising) project.

This City Council already has a Sustainable Energy Action Plan and has signed up to the Covenant of Mayors so, the actions suggested in the project would reinforce its commitment to cutting CO2 emissions by at least 20% by 2020. This is why it encourages other municipalities already signatories of the Covenant to join and create a network in this sense.

    Dear sir/madame,
CBS, is one of the most experienced consulting and project implementation organizations located in Tirana, Albania. CBS is a business consulting non-for-profit organization that provides consultancy and implement solutions for local entrepreneurs, organizations, donors and financial institutions. Founded by professionals with national and international advanced expertise and extensive knowledge in projects implementation, CBS provides valuable and effective services generating economic growth for businesses through financial consulting and entrepreneurial capacity building in developing economy sectors, marketing and business development. We have strong expertise in social innovation in rural areas, green economy, Innovative Software Development, high quality of agro-food integrated chains, renewable energy.

CBS’s previous experiences include large and complex projects with the main aim increasing economic growth as well as technical and business solutions offered mostly in agriculture, SME’s and financial field. CBS is a key partner with U.S Agency for International Development USAID, and has on-going project implementation relationship with USAID through a number of strategic projects both locally and in Balkan region.

We are very interested to be part of the partnership and we will be glad to provide technical support to the lead partner during the application phase of the phase. We think that a potential partnership with CBS be both fitting and complementary. We see you as a potential project partner in the MED program called by EU.

I would like to share with you some ideas for a proposal in renewable Energy. The proposed CES -Clean Energy Solution is a solar PV powered water pumping and irrigation System in the south region of Albania for the agribusiness SME’s in the entire value chain. The system will consist of a solar panel array, electrical motor, submersible and/ or surface pump and battery for storing electricity. Implementing such system will reduce the dependency from fossil fuels and the dependency from grid connectivity that in rural areas is accompanied by a lot of disruptions of electricity. The energy used will be clean energy and there will be a reduction in GHG emissions. This system is suitable for the farmers and SME’s because it has low labor and maintenance costs and has a long life (20-40 years). Our proposed solution will help farmers and SME’s to use energy and water resources better and in more effective way. It is forecasted (together with the farmers and SME’s) that by implementing such system the products quality will increase and the productivity as well. By implementing such system the products quality and productivity will increase leading toward the smart growth for SME’s and farmers.

CBS also works with number of distinct international organizations including GIZ, Swiss Corporation / Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, Cooperazione Italiana and has well-established institutional working relationship with local government authorities suc as Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Urban development, Ministry of Agriculture and rural Development and Water Resources, AIDA (Albanian Investment Agency). CBS has also partnership with larges banks in Albania such as: ProCredit Bank, Intesa SanPaolo Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Credins Bank and National Commercial Bank (BKT). In addition, we have a large contacts and relationship with SME’s and agribusinesses which will support the activities during the implementation phase.

For more information about us please visit our website: http://www.cbs.al. Attached also please find an organizational brochure which lists some of our projects experiences. Should you be interested in a potential cooperation please reply to us at fotjona.tace@cbs.al or info@cbs.al so we can discuss the collaboration in more detail.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Sincerely,

    Dear Sir or Madame,
I inform you that ITE, Energy Technology Institute, is a Spanish research centre with expertise in the field of energy and whose services, products and technological projects are addressed to national and international public bodies and companies in the energy sector.
In particular ITE capabilities in the area of this project are remarkable as Applied Chemistry Unit works on characterization of biomass and biomass energy recovery, in particular in the following activities:
    • Biomass resource assessment and studies for its use. Studies conversion technologies. Development of carbon materials from agricultural waste.
    • Study and complete life cycle analysis applied to materials, devices and products.
We have experience in European projects and we are very interested in working on biodigestion technologies so we think we can fit in your proposal so please take us into consideration and don’t hesitate to contact me in case you need more information about our capabilities.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Sincerely,

    Dear Sir, Madam,

We, as a cluster of Bioenergy and Environment- CluBE in Greece are much interested in biogas applications for residual agricultural biomass but also for urban waste. We currently support two similar biogas processing plants in the Region and there is much expertise on the subject. We would like to examine the possibility with you to participate in such a proposal with main focus the promotion of biogas processing for agricultural residues in small communities that could cover the energy and heating needs by exploiting such a waste. We could also develop pilot activities in local biogas plants for changing the substrate mixture including bigger frame of residual waste or to examine the yield of different approaches.
In case you are interested to collaborate with us please contact me at dkouras@yahoo.com.
We would be glad to discuss with the development process of the project idea.

    Dear Sir/Madame,

I am the Head of the Laboratory of Biochemical Engineering and Environmental Technology (LBEET), Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Patras, Greece. Our main research interests are organic wastes valorisation for production of bio-based compounds, anaerobic fermentation, exploitation of agroindustrial wastes and wastewaters for liquid and gaseous biofuels production and modeling of biological processes. We have extensive expertise in co-ordination and participation in European and Cross-Border projects (more than 50 in the last 15 years). Successfully completed projects include: BIOGAIA, DAIRIUS, INTEGRASTE, MISSTOW, Bio-SURFEST, AGROENERGY, etc.
We can test in our lab and optimize in our pilot-scale facilities various organic waste mixtures containing urban wastes, agriculture residues, wastes from meat industries etc since our expertise lies especially in co-digestion and optimization of waste mixtures providing integrated solutions for waste valorization and digestate management.

If you are interested in collaboration please contact me at: href=”mailto:kornaros@chemeng.upatras.gr”>

Detailed presentation of LBEET can be found at:

Looking forward to hearing from you.
