    To whom it may concern,

I am writing on behaf of ADEIT, a world-leading organisation with its own legal personality, promoted by the Cosell Social of the University of Valencia in 1989, whose objective is (I) that companies take advantage of the capacities of the University and (II) to serve as a channel to transmit to the University the needs of companies and the productive sector. With this aim, ADEIT promotes the development of joint initiatives in those fields that foster the exchange of know‐how and, as a consequence, the enhancement of economic progress.

    Our main activities include:
1.Training, specialisation and further education of university students and professionals.
2.Placements for university students and graduates in companies and organisations of the Valencia region and in other European Union countries.
3.Advice on job search or business creation.
    4.Spreading of the entrepreneurial spirit.
5.Supporting innovation and the transfer of technology and knowledge.
6.Management and participation in European projects.
    Our figures:
    • More than 800 agreements and contracts promoted and managed
    • 3,313 editions of postgraduate specialisation
    • 996 distance learning courses
    • More than 80,000 students have completed a postgraduate course or specialisation
    • More than 12,000 people around the world have attended at least one of the 82 conferences organised by ADEIT
    • More than 115,000 student placements
    • More than 4,000 placement tutors
    • More than 16,000 different international companies have welcomed students
    • More than 17,000 graduates have received training and advice to find work through different programmes
    • More than 3,000 student placements in other EU countries
    • More than 1,300 European companies have welcomed fellows

ADEIT has been recently recognised by the European Commission as one of the best 20 cases in enhancing entrepreneurial spirit in Higher Education Entities for its participation in the Business Culture Chair of the University of Valencia.

ADEIT was a partner assisting the lead coordinator’s issues for The Regional University‐Industry Strategies Network or “RUISNET”, funded from 2004 to 2007 by the European Commission INTERREG IIIC Programme. One of its objectives was to identify the good practices that have an impact on regional development in 3 categories: Innovation, SMEs and Territory; Training and the Labour Market; Entrepreneurial Spirit and Knowledge‐Based Enterprise Creation. The success of the RUISNET project has been recognised in its selection as one of the finalists for the Awards for Innovative Regions 2007.

    Dear Sir, Madam,

I contact you on behalf of Regional Chamber of Commerce in the Region of Western Macedonia Greece. Our Region belongs to the degraded regions (it has one of the highest unemployment rates in Greece and in Europe consequently) although here beats the energy ‘heart’ of the country with extended mining activity and the 50% of energy generation in the country.
The innovations-hub could be a solution to the continuous degradation and bring together different capabilities of the individual and the regional research institutions. The good news is that the regional chamber of commerce has the capacities and the necessary funds to support such an innovation boosting activities.
Therefore, we believe that our candidacy in terms of the regional representation and the willingness and capabilities of the Chamber of Commerce could provide you a reliable partner from Greece.
If you are interested on our participation please contact us at: dkouras@gmail.com
