IRPI (Istituto di Ricerca per la Protezione Idrogeologica – http://www.irpi.cnr.it/en/) is the institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) with extensive experience on geo-hydrological hazards assessment and risk evaluation.

At IRPI we execute R&D activities on natural hazards, environmental protection and the use of geo-resources. We operate at all geographical and temporal scales in different climatic and physiographic environments to produce new knowledge on hazardous natural phenomena and their consequences. We design services & products to detect, map, model and mitigate natural hazards, for land protection and planning, by engaging public authorities, businesses and citizens. We demonstrate and validate services & products through pilots.

We can provide contribution in the Specific Objective 3.2 (To maintain biodiversity and natural ecosystems through strengthening the management and networking of protected areas) with R&D, piloting and communication activities related to products, services, strategies and plans for helping public authorities in defining multi-hazards disaster risk reduction and management plans for natural heritage and cultural heritage.
In particular our activities are aimed at protecting ecosystems and vulnerable protected areas and prevent biodiversity loss and soil degradation due to landslides and forest-fires to prevent (further) degradation of these natural assets and prevent biodiversity loss and soil degradation due to landslides and forest-fires to prevent (further) degradation of these natural assets.

We are looking forward to providing our contribution in in Studying (M1), Testing (M2) and Capitalising (M3) proposals.

    Dear Fausto,

The Institute for Archaeological and Monumental Heritage of the National Research Council (IBAM-CNR, Italy) is interested in your project idea and we would like to explore the opportunity of collaborating together.

IBAM-CNR is an interdisciplinary scientific centre with high expertise and specialized skills concerning the study of technologies used for:
    – managing cultural information systems,
    – cataloguing methods for the study of tangible and intangible archaeological heritage,
    – developing embedded laboratories on bio archaeology, archaeometry and communication,
    – using the latest information technologies employed for 3D reconstructions, augmented reality and web dissemination.
Enclosed you will find a brochure with additional information.

We look forward to hearing from you,

    Thank you. Best regards.

Dear all, we express our interested about your project. Agri.Te.Co. started in 1978 with the goal of providing users (public and private) an integrated service in agriculture, urban and environmental. In 1981 the Company ‘has changed the social base by including in its structure architects, geologists, biologists, chemists and naturalists, finding its specificity’ professional in the planning, development of aquaculture and fisheries, environmental monitoring, studies and in searches.
    We work in Venice’s area.

    Dera Mr Guzzetti,

we are a regional authority in North Aegean Greece and we have implemented several European projects regarding prevention of forest fires (OCR INCENDI, EUFOFINET), development of risk management tools (MEDRISK) and prevention of soil degradation (MOONRISES) in collaboration with different departments of University of the Aegean. Furthermore, North Aegean region is a region of 9 islands and during the summer we have usually forest fires so there is a need for pilot activities.

If you are interested in collaborating and exchange experiences in your project proposal we would be happy to participate and assist in a successful project.

Please let me know if you are interested so I can send you a summary of our organization and our projects implemented so far.

Your project sounds very interesting and within the fields of interest of our group of research in our laboratory of the University of Thessaly, Greece.

The Hydromechanics and Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Thessaly, Greece, supports research and teaching in the areas of Environmental fluid mechanics, deterministic and stochastic modeling of environmental time series, impact of regional and global climate change on water resources, ecosystems modeling, The laboratory is funded by the Greek State, European Union and local government agencies and it is founding member of the research and education network HYDROMEDON.

We also have strong relationship and cooperation with local authorities and municipalities in the region of Thessaly and Macedonia where there are vulnerable protected areas that need to prevent biodiversity loss and soil degradation

Looking forward to hearing from everyone interested in a partnership. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss any further details.

    Francesca Visintin

    Dear all
I’m Francesca Visintin from eFrame Ltd.
The company is composed by 3 researchers and external collaborators with experience in the field of ecosystem services assessment, especially monetary assessment.
At the moment we are carrying out three projects with marine protected areas, and in the past some assessment have been done in mountain, wetland and lake protected areas.
If you think that the project content would be improved with the economic assessment of the risk, and that our competencies would be useful for you, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
    Best
    Francesca
