We have experience in European programs, especially with regard to the design and construction of routes and tourist circuits of various kinds (food and wine, nature, etc ..). We are currently working on two community projects (ONMEST 2 – ENPI CBC Med and COMPASS – Italy-Tunisia) and other European projects (regional direction) which always include the creation of tourist circuits.

    Adam Pisula

    Dear Mr. Aguilar,

My name is Adam Pisula. On the Interreg MED forum I have seen your partner search announcement regarding the Responsible tourism and MED-sea socio-cultural heritage project. I am writing to you on behalf of Roquetas de Mar City Council in order to express our interest as a partner for the project promoted by your entity. I know that the deadline is approaching quickly, therefore if you are still looking for partners I would like to provide you with relevant information as fast as possible.

Could you please send me more detailed description of your project, together with partner form where I could present our Municipality in details? We have been aware of your project proposal, thus we would like to express our interest on joining it. At this respect we would like gather more information concerning the project idea, such as main objectives, main activities, the estimated overall and partner’s budget and other partners you aim to include in this project. Also, we would be really grateful if you could indicate the duration and possible start date…

Below you can find briefly description about Municipality. I will attached also presentation with short information about relevant experience of us after your feedback.

Roquetas de Mar is a medium-sized town (75.000 inhabitants for a surface of 59, 65 km²), near from the main city of the Andalusian region of Almeria (20 kilometers far away). The city is situated in a very dry coastal place, whose number of inhabitants rises every summer. The situation is due to the fact that the city is a very tourist region, where almost 200.000 people decide every summer to spend their holidays in that place.

Roquetas de Mar has been a neolithic settlement, an Almerian one and of successive cultures too. Its coast was visited by Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans, but they have been studied some permanent settlements only into the eighteenth century.

The quality of our sea is evident in both sports and coastal ports. The Port of Roquetas focuses on the picturesque traditional fishing activity without forgetting its sporting side.

The Municipality of Roquetas de Mar is extremely interested in participating in the Responsible tourism and MED-sea socio-cultural heritage project. Sustainable tourism with the emphasis on culture and heritage is an important topic for the Municipality of Roquetas de Mar.

We would be delighted to have a possibility to take a part in your project team. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

    Robert Lešić

    Dear Mr. Aguilar

We think your project proposal was very interesting for our city and we would like from you to consider us as possible partners.

My name is Robert Lesic and I’m employed in the City of Rovinj-Rovigno (Croatia) as a senior associate for the economy and EU funds.
The town of Rovinj for several years is regarded as the most attractive as a tourist destination on the Croatian Adriatic. In this sense Rovinj is a few years the champion of Croatian tourism.
Year after year we have an increasing number of arrivals and overnight stays.
In accordance with our “Master Plan for Tourism”, Rovinj’s goal is to position itself on the world tourist map as an “up-scale” destination.
To achieve this goal one of the measures is the additional value of cultural heritage in our city.

In the area of Rovinj has about 15,000 inhabitants, we have a large number of protected tangible and intangible cultural heritage, including the entire old town, social practices, rituals (folklor), ceremonies and more that we/you could run and further valorise in tourim pourposes, as part of your project.

Our city administration have enough experience in notification and implementation of EU projects (eg IPA Adriatic CBC, IPA Slovenia-Croatia, INTERREG IIIA, CIP, IEE, PHARE, CARDS, etc.).

We would be grateful if you could send us a projectual draft and/or additional explanations about the project.

Please let us know if you think that we could participate as partners in your project.

Kind regards in the hope of successful submission of project application.

    Dear colleagues,

The Local Action Group Južna Istra ( http://www.lag-juznaistra.hr/) is a NGO situated in Istria-Croatia and was created as a result of EU initiatives aiming the development of local strategies and supporting stakeholder networking&partnership (composed from civil, public and private sectors in equal parts). The LAG South Istria network includes 10 local governments and can represent and include them in the project.

The LAG South Istria has already organized a series of initiatives, events and educations with the aim of ensuring the flow of information and knowledge transfer for progress in the sustainable development of the rural economy and local communities, to develop synergies and networking between all entities who are interested in contributing to the development of rural areas reaching cohesion and the standards of the EU.

Even if the territory is strongly touristic developed, there is a need to strengthen peripheral locations that have a rich cultural history but do not record so many visits, as well even though they have access to the sea does not use its coastline for tourism purposes.
In all locations is strongly present the heritage from Rome,Venice and Austro Hungarian Empire. In the territory are presents more fortresses, shipwrecks, medieval churches and castles and one of the biggest collection of religious art and relics; it registers a strong history of production of olive oil, a multitude of endemic species and good location for birth watching. As well we have a strong fisherman tradition. Despite all that, there is a need for valorization of heritage of the territory because tourists mostly visits “In” destinations since missing a tool that would easily present the richness of our territory.

We are also developing a project about Agriculture and tourism-innovative model for the development of rural Istria and sustainable management of natural resources. The project aims to contribute to the development of ecological livestock through the sustainable use of natural resources and put this activity to a higher level by enrich rural areas and give new life to the uncultivated Land owned by the State, Municipalities and also Private. This project would be through a co-operative, as a social network, contributing to regional development in practice through 8 integrated and multifunctional production and tourism working units.

We would like to participate in a MED project as partners, and if you choose us as a partner for the project, you will have a responsible and professional partner with whom you can achieve the common goals of sustainable economic development.

According to above mentioned, we invite you to consider the possibility of cooperation with us. In the case of interest, we kindly ask you to contact us in order to undertake the further steps related to our future and hopefully successful cooperation.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,

    Sincerely Adriana

UNESCO Sicilia Foundation is a Regional Agency recently founded by Italian State (50%)
and Sicilian Region (50%) and involved in cultural heritage and environmental protection
and promotion policies concerning the seven Sicilian UNESCO protected areas and serial
    sites.
Due to its two Foundation partners UNESCO Sicilia can effectively and directly influence
    National and Regional policies.
UNESCO Sicilia is interested in learning the best practices and management methodology
used for applying UNESCO guidelines in dealing with management in general inside
    the UNESCO sites.
Besides, UNESCO SICILIA is very keen to study the available best practices in the field of
private investment attraction and PPPs promotion for environment and cultural heritage
conservation and sustainable exploitation. All the above as from the regulatory as well as
from the practical point of view. Our main issue is, after fostering the exchange of
experiences, the preparation of mandatory action plans for integrating and deploying good
practices within regional policies and first of all within programs. We are also interested in
experimenting some “peer review practice”, in terms of teams of experts to be engaged to
visit our 7 UNESCO sites to review our governance strategy and methods. As the project “Responsible tourism and MED-sea socio-cultural heritageResponsible tourism” aims to preserve cultural heritage, by means of promoting historical / cultural values and reducing or better managing the impact of activities on local culture, herewith we declare our interest to take part to the above said project.

Social rehabilitation for the disabled people.

We already have the faculties, now we need the cross border collaboration throughout Europe. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for all people with SCI (Spinal cord injury) and other disabled people.

Please allow us to introduce ourselves ~ The Paraplegic’s Association of Slovenia (PAS) ~ founded in 1969. Our organisation is undertaking the build of a unique health resort, with the aim of encouraging and supporting paraplegics ~ of all nations ~ to meet and share the wealth of cultural experiences normally beyond their reach. Equipped and staffed for special needs, PAS helps it’s guests actively and socially participate in programmes of sport, cultural exchange and education. Many of us are paraplegic ourselves, and so recognise the person ~ the individual, and then his or her need, fears and frustration.

We also tailor activities to the younger individual, and these include personal tuition, integration into society, and then also personal growth and development of his or her own a social life. Other tailored programmes include handicrafts, education in the field of women paraplegic and quadriplegic, while special interest subjects include the ever popular amateur broadcasting.
Even in popular literature, Richard Bach, in his book Jonathan Livingston Seagull wrote ‘Your whole body …is nothing more than your thought itself, in a form you can see. Break the chain of your thought, and you break the chains of your body….’

    Our goals are:
    1. Rehabilitation and Self ~ maintaining the health and well-being of the disabled
    2. Educational ~ additional education, and development of new methods of education, particularly for disabled young people
    3. Vacation ~ support for the equal involvement in society of disadvantage groups of the population
    4. Sports ~ individual and team development through coaching.. In it’s advanced groups – together with competitors from other countries
    5. Art and Culture

We are looking for partners in social integration field.

We would very much welcome you to come to visit us, to share our progress ~ and how even now paraplegics and other disabled individuals are coming to lend a hand, to help in the planning, to train as staff, and just to interact with others. In this small way, we prove to be a success.
