The enhancement and development of sustainable coastal tourism lies in the heart of the MED programme’s new programming period.
Hence, it is of major importance for the participating countries to both identify the challenges that face coastal areas in the field of tourism and create the tools that will help them create a new, viable touristic product able to guarantee the sustainability and further development of tourism.
Main focus of the project is:
• The study of the current status and the identification of challenges in the programme area
• The design and development of a common standard –framework for businesses active in the field of tourism and its adaptation to the local specific conditions
• The creation of a high level transnational group of experts that will be able to support the local businesses and to apply the whole process in the partner’s regions
• The increase of the awareness of the local actors about the feasibility, the benefits of this common standard –framework for coastal tourism
• The creation of a partners’ sustainable network that will act as a permanent consultant to the stakeholders and the dissemination of experiences, best practices and other information on international level
• The provision of mentoring services to local tourism businesses in the participating areas with main aim the enhancement of the touristic product offered and the subsequent development of sustainable tourismWe are mainly searching for partners with the following status: local, regional or national authorities, other legal entities active in the field of tourism or coastal tourism, chambers

This is a Local Public Administration with its own competencies and competencies delegated by the Autonomous Region. Its own competencies are:
