    Dear Mr. Iannotti
I am writing you on behalf of National Environmental Agency of Albania ( NEA) which is a public institution in charge with the monitoring of the state of environment for the main components: air, water, soil, biodiversity and forests. It is also responsible for the drafting and publishing of the State Of Environmental Report, an annual official report prepared based on the environmental data and information and assessments performed by getting use of data collected by the monitoring process performed by NEA. There are also other technical ans specific reports prepared by NEA for specific components such as : Air Quality, State of Forests in Albania, Air Pollution in Albania etc. Through these technical reports are given recommendations and information to the public in general and policy makers in particular regarding the problematic and sensitive issues which needs further attention by the policymakers related with the need of stipulation of strategic documents and/ or action plans needed for their mitigation or adaption. One of the main pillars of our Agency work and mission is also the sharing of information with the public regarding the state of environment in all the country and raising the level of public awareness and education related with environmental issues in general and specific ones in particular.

In the frame of the above mentioned proposals and with reference to your interest and attention for seeking new strategic partners I would kindly ask you to consider us for any proposals of common interest which fits also with our profile and mission. In the case you will have any further interest or specific question or unclearness please feel free to contact us.

Thanking you in advanced and looking for any possible reply please contact us on ohanxhari@yahoo.com

    kindest regards

    Dear all,

I write on behalf of the Department of Production and Management Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace, which is located in Xanthi, Greece. We are really interested in participating in this project as long as there is someone to take part as a Lead Partner.

The research group consists of the Director of the Laboratory of Robotics and Automation, 2 post-doc fellows, 4 doctoral students, several MSc and undergraduate students and 1 technical staff. These are adequate to fulfill any commitment implied by a collaborative project. In all our past projects external collaborators were also hired, according to the specific needs of the committed work. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art PCs, cameras, robots and other scientific materials. Our expertise is mainly in vision and other sensors based automation. We design and implement intelligent mechatronics systems, primarily for robotics applications (navigation, manipulation etc). We are competent both in hardware and in software design.
The group possesses a good record in FP funded projects. A list of our active and past funded projects is apposed here: http://robotics.pme.duth.gr/research/projects/

Recently we have developed and implemented algorithms based on the Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM) deep learning architecture, which can provide the model of a region in space and time, the way human brain does. The input to this network can be a series of measurements with specific topological configuration. The architecture learns how a signal evolving in time can be related to its neighbors and, thus, it can «predict» future inputs based on multiple data. Such an architecture finds a lot of applications, especially in video recognition and action categorization. Yet if the input signal is not a visual one, but a flow of meteorological data from stations with space adjacency, then the HTM architecture, based on the history of the measurements can predict the future states of the data, thus providing alerts in case of emergency.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best regards,

    Elvira
