The University of Cagliari (Italy) is looking for some Academic and institutional partners (mainly public authorities) to be involved in a project proposal that will be presented in the framework of the Priority Axis 2: Fostering low-carbon strategies and energy efficiency in specific MED territories: cities, islands and rural areas.
The project idea is focused on studying and applying an innovative methodology for the improvement of energy efficiency in public buildings. The innovative idea is to introduce and test a new tool: the DMT. The Decision Making Tool is based on a simplex algorithm able to elaborate coefficients (e.g. costs matrix and energy saving matrix) as well as to include in the elaboration inputs from the local decision makers.
Due to the involvement of policy makers, we primarily look for regional/national authorities that can set strategies at regional/national level. Please find attached the abstract of the project proposal.Attachments:

Dimitris KintsakisDear all,
I represent the municipality of Volvi which has a great interest and makes efforts aiminig in the use of renewable energy, energy saving and reduction of CO2 emissions, especially in public buildings.
The Municipality of VOLVI, is situated in Northern Greece and we believe that combines all the issues on which you focus by your proposed project. Furthermore the Municipality has been involved in several european funded programs, especially Interreg Programs, so it has a great experience.
Further more we have an expertise in renewable energy sources and storage solutions, and also we have a rich network of possible partners (i.e. Universities, research companies, etc.) who focus on energy efficiency and saving in public buildings and have a wide experience.

We are a team of engineers providing innovative services to municipalities and public authorities. For the project LOWEr_in MED we can feed your algorith with data collected via a live energy monitoring system we established at Municipality of Chania (with a very nice Old Harbor)in Creta (please see at http://savenergy-chania.gr/measurements.html)
Also our team can work and materialized special algorithms for the proposed tool.
If your project can afford both a pilot (ie. Chania Municipality) and a developer please do not hesitate to contact us.
