Advancing Innovation in Communications

Dear All,

The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) is exploring potential opportunities for collaboration (as a project partner) under the INTERREG-MED Programme.

The MCA is Malta’s national regulatory authority for communications services. The Authority is also tasked with the responsibility for developing Malta’s ICT potential through innovation. We also implement initiatives aimed at ensuring that every business and individual has the competences to beneficially use ICT and engage in online activities. The MCA’s mission is thus comprised of two pillars; the first focusing on its regulatory role, and the second being “to facilitate the development of an environment that is conducive to investment, innovation, social inclusion and economic growth”. We kindly invite you to put forward any project proposals for an evaluation from our end. Amongst others, areas that interest the MCA include technology start-ups; business incubators; big and open data applications (including test-and-trial); digital society, literacy and inclusion; and smart cities.
