What happened during the Interreg MED 2015?
Dear friends,
This year has been very busy for the Interreg MED Programme so we have plenty to tell you about. Let’s look back together at the key events that marked 2015!
On 3rd June 2015, the European Commission officially adopted the 2014-2020 Interreg MED Programme.
On 22nd and 23rd June, potential project partners, the Joint Secretariat, the Managing Authority and representatives of the Programme member states gathered to celebrate the launch of the 2014-2020 Programming Period.

First call for modular project proposals
A new programming period means, of course, new project calls.
The first call for modular project proposals was opened from 1st September to 3rd November, noon (GMT +1). If you are new to the “modular” concept, check out this page to learn more about the the new programme architecture.
Here are the first figures about the first call for proposals.

Horizontal Projects
Horizontal Projects are the big novelty of this programming period. They are very important to the Programme as they constitute the unifying element of a community of (modular) projects which are gathered by thematics. Horizontal Projects are in charge of community building activities, joint communication and joint capitalisation of the relevant projects. They shall allow real synergies and provide a better visibility to reach policy making level.
Let us introduce you to the logo of each thematic community:
