ANEA – Naples Agency for Energy and Environment

    Dear Marta,
as explained to Berta Perez, contact person of CCB, lead partner of SHAAMS project in which ANEA is partner, among its activities, in the last years,ANEA is working in the sustainable tourism sector also: has developed I BIKE NAPLES, guided bike tours with bike leaders, for tourists and citizens through historical/artistic and landscape itineraries of Naples (http://www.ibikenaples.it/).
In addition, within COSME Program, we are involved , as partner, in EFRA (European Festival in a Rural Area) and we’re waiting the evaluation phase of the project proposal.
During EnergyMed 2015, we have hosted a conference “The challenge of sustainable hotels” (http://www.energymed.it/conviniz/SEA_Programma.pdf) since ANEA is partner of the association “Hotels and restaurants Zero waste”, that gather several hotels and restaurants of Naples and province (Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano) and aiming to a more eco-friendly tourism stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship in regional accommodation facilities, promoting environmental education for tourism in hotels and restaurants.

So, in this regard, if the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona intends to present a project proposal in the field of sustainable tourism, we would like to be involved as partner.

    Best Regards

UNESCO Sicilia Foundation is a Regional Agency recently founded by Italian State (50%)
and Sicilian Region (50%) and involved in cultural heritage and environmental protection
and promotion policies concerning the seven Sicilian UNESCO protected areas and serial
    sites.
Due to its two Foundation partners UNESCO Sicilia can effectively and directly influence
    National and Regional policies.
UNESCO Sicilia is interested in learning the best practices and management methodology
used for applying UNESCO guidelines in dealing with management in general inside
    the UNESCO sites.
Besides, UNESCO SICILIA is very keen to study the available best practices in the field of
private investment attraction and PPPs promotion for environment and cultural heritage
conservation and sustainable exploitation. All the above as from the regulatory as well as
from the practical point of view. Our main issue is, after fostering the exchange of
experiences, the preparation of mandatory action plans for integrating and deploying good
practices within regional policies and first of all within programs. We are also interested in
experimenting some “peer review practice”, in terms of teams of experts to be engaged to
visit our 7 UNESCO sites to review our governance strategy and methods. As the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce aims to implement PRIORITY AXIS 3: PROTECTING AND PROMOTING MEDITERRANEAN NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES, OBJECTIVE 3.1: To enhance the development of a sustainable and responsible coastal and maritime tourism in the MED area, herewith we express our interest to take part to some project with your organization.
