To coordinate and promote initiatives with communal administrations in order to valorize and protect (with land management planning tools) protected areas of interest and areas with high natural functions, to reduce the territorial fragmentation and to limit the soil consumption, to ensure the protection and maintenance of biodiversity by testing how to recover brown infrastructure, and build or maintain ecological networks in urban and peri-urban areas.
Looking for local and regional authorities, universities or research institutes, planning agencies, natural parks, private companies dealing with natural engineering and private/public organisms managing natural resources.

Dear Simonetta,

We are Ivana Miskovic and Zdravko Markov, and we work in the Office of the Prime Minister of Herzegbosnian County in Livno (Canton 10), Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the area of our County is the Livno field. Very conserved habitat for wetland birds as well as the number and composition of the avifauna gave incentive to the proclamation of Livno field Ramsar
site of international importance. A few years ago, this field was declared a Ramsar site with an area of 45,868 ha and is the largest of the three declared Ramsar sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We in the Government of our County want to do evaluation and zoning of the Ramsar site and to ensure its sustainable development. In addition, through joint research projects, we would like to
contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and ensure the effective management of natural resources in our area.

Our goal is to find partners for this call. Project activities can be related to the transfer of knowledge, studies, preparation of plan development and management, twinning, networking, legal framework, …
