A Rocha is an international conservation organisation working with communities around the world: we are currently in 19 countries. Although Christian organisation we work with all communities in environmental conservation and education. In the Mediterranean area we have three field study centres: Alvor estuary Portugal, the Ilon Marsh near Arles and the 6oo hectare mountain site at Les Courmettes, just above the Cote D’Azur. We have a long history in all the sites of practical conservation, fieldwork and environmental education. The Courmettes site is particularly interesting because we have a wide range of environments, a lot of space and the capacity for accommodating up to 80 people. I would be interested in exploring a number of possible ventures with partners.

    Dear Chris,
Municipality of Konispol, South of Albania is interested to participate in projects regarding environment, education and conservation.
The Municipality covers an area of 220 km2, in the Southern coastal part of Albania and beside tourism, agriculture, waters and forests are also important parts of the geography of the area.
we are interested to discuss any future possibilities in the frame of MED programme, my email is entela.kaleshi@yahoo.com

Dear Chris, we are a University Department in Turin, Italy. We have been working, in recent years, on education about soil for its protection and conservation. We have a special interest in mountain soils. If soil is within your objectives we would be happy to collaborate.
    Best regards

    Dear Chris and Entela Kaleshi
we are an Italian SME developing a waste management system suitable for small, isolated communities where waste collection commands high costs. Our system aims at dealing with waste at the site of production with organic waste composted, recyclables compacted to maximise transport efficiency, and unsorted, residual waste treated thermally in a safe way through micro scale plasma technology to deliver a inert residue. The whole system is to be self sustaining, i.e. powered through solar panels and the energy developed through the composting and thermal treatment. If piloting a self contained waste management system for mountain sites/small communities/tourist resort experiencing peak waste is of interest to you, please contact me via ilaria.schiavi@irissrl.org
we are unable to lead a MED project but we are used to bid for and work on EU funded projects.
    best regards to you all
    Ilaria
