The Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) is a non-profit research institution based in Barcelona, resulting from a public initiative of the Regional Government of Catalonia. Our Remote Sensing division at CTTC has been working, since more than 10 years, on the processing of satellite data acquired from most of the ended and currently orbiting Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) platforms (from ERS1 to Sentinel-1), using home developed tools. The main goal of the performed activities has been the application of SAR Interferometry for land and urban monitoring. A consolidated cooperation is ongoing with an international team of experts in earth science, hydrology and civil engineering. Different processing techniques such as Persistent Scatters and standard differential SAR interferometry are being used. Further activities are now in-progress concerning the use of non-interferometric approach for environmental monitoring, and its integration with optical images. The main expertise consists in the development of processing tools and analysis of images for deformation monitoring. We offer our expertise in space-borne based microwave image processing, analysis and interpretation for various applications in biodiversity monitoring. As an institute, we have a wide experience with successful procurement of H2020 and other European projects as team leader and associate partners.
