Regional council of Lezha –Albania – IPA neighbours .

Please take in consideration our interests to be partner in this call. We represent Regional Council of Lezha a regional authority ( government body ) in Albania.
The competences of the Council mainly consist in the Drafting and implementation of the regional policies and their harmonization with the state’s polices , Identification and promotion of main values of the region and the development of the region, based on effective use of the natural and human resources, as well as on the contribution of different donors and interest stakeholders.

Lezha Region is situated in the north-west of Albania, composed of three municipalities. It counts a population of 221,217 inhabitants. The majority of the population lives in rural areas (around60%), whereas 40% live in urban centers.
The region situated along the Adriatic with a coastline of 38 kilometres.

The strategic document “Sub-regional development scenarios in the Lezha Region 2016-2020 is a document which represents an integrated strategic and territorial approach to social-economic development in the Region of Lezha, complemented with a concrete action plan.

We have a good experience in implementation of more than 3 projects IPA, IPA cross border and strategic, also with UNDP-Climate Change Program, Identification and Implementation of the Adaptation Response Measures in the Drini-Mati River Deltas – Project proposals based on priority measures for adaptation to climate changes. This document presents a package of 11 project proposals in the deltas of Drini and Mat rivers.
