Maria TsarmpopoulouMy name is Maria Tsarmpopoulou; I have been working at CRES, in the Environment and Transport Department, since 2007 to research projects in the frame of National and European Programs.
The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) is a research centre supervised by the Ministry of Environment and Energy.More especially CRES has a dynamic presence in Greece and internationally, with innovative research results and a large number of contracts for the Greek Government, the European Commission and Governments of non-European countries, concerning the planning, evaluation and realization of energy projects. CRES has obtained important know-how by participating in many research projects and networks within the framework of SAVE, ALTEREN, Intelligent Energy Europe, PROGRAMME-MED, South East Europe, LIFE.
The Environment and Transport department, I am working at, belongs to the division of Energy Efficiency, in Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving (CRES) and has a lot of experience in policies, strategies, diffusion and promotion of knowledge of renewable energy and biofuels, spatial planning of installations, environmental impact assessment, promotion of RES/ES/RUE projects via the reduction & minimization of their environmental impacts, improvement of energy efficiency, biofuels in transportation, practices for improving driving behavior (eco-driving), energy-efficiency and traffic safety among drivers of passenger cars, development & dissemination of appropriate & sustainable energy policies at a regional & national level, pollutants emissions from fuels. The Department of Environment and Transport of CRES is member in EnR Working Group in Transport.
Currently we are looking to participate into a proposal under the thematic area of blue growth in the MED program. The department has also participated in some proposals under the same thematic area in the Horizon 2020 and ENPI CBCMED.Thank you in advance.
