Brief description of the Project: Regional Smart Specialization has set a new approach on how innovative policies should be identified and implemented in European Regions. We have recently seen how European Regions have developed their own specialization strategies aimed at fostering and enhancing their most competitive and local based sectors that can better contribute to the regional growth based on innovation and research.

    Main objectives:
    1. Define a common system to support SME’s that aligns all actors and contributes to accelerate and consolidate SME’s in Green Economy at a Mediterranean level.
    2. Test in each region the defined system by means of the participation of the Local Stakeholders Group.
    3. Evaluate, adapt and consolidate at Mediterranean Level the support system that can be transferable.
    Activities:
    > Feasibility evaluation and proposal on a common system to support innovation.
    > Build capacity to support SME’s.
    > Implement and test the system for SME’s in the Green Economy.
    > Structure financial transnational opportunities in order to boost SME’s growth and international dimension.
    > Structure international network among SME’s and Support system members in order to consolidate the methodology at a Mediterranean level.
