The Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Land, Environment and Mathematics (DICATAM), with the collaboration of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DIMI)of University of Brescia (Italy), is interested to Interreg MED Programme.
Our project’s idea is the best practice of thermal water usage. In all the spas, the water is used for therapeutic purposes and then released into sewers or surface water at variable temperatures, although still above the ambient temperature (approximately 20° C). Inside the thermal cycle is used to cool the water to make it compatible with the temperatures of health care and treatment. From the energy point of view this transaction is considered a waste, or at least as an energy resource still usable.
Exploiting the residual heat can improve their ability to use renewable energy through endogenous governance tools (network energy) and the application of advanced technologies.
The project overall objective is to achieve a usage optimized in terms of greater efficiency, able to use the renewable resource thermal water in favour of public institutions, owners and operators in the public energy infrastructures. In particular, and consequently all the private groups which, through a common commitment, will benefit from the improvement of the energy performance of public infrastructures, following the activation of strategies and policies related to energy planning thermal areas on a territorial basis, so as to support the mitigation of climate change effects.
Please find attached the letter of introduction relative of our research group (Partner’s data DICATAM and Partner’s data DIMI).
If you are interested of the project’s idea, we will send you the complete idea of the project.
We thank you for your kind attention.
Yours faithfully
